What are HA Fillers and how do they work?
Juvederm or Restylane are hyaluronic fillers that are suspended in gel carriers. This gel allows the hyaluronic acids to stay in place when injected. The hyaluronic acid works immediately by pulling in water, therefore, increasing the volume where injected. This works well for deeper to more severe wrinkles, folds, and areas of the face where more volume is needed. These fillers are dissolved naturally with most lasting up to a year and some even longer.
Aesthetic medicine is a broad term for specialties that focus on altering cosmetic appearance through the treatment of conditions including scars, skin laxity, wrinkles, moles, liver spots, excess fat, cellulite, unwanted hair, skin discoloration, and spider veins. Kansas City (abbreviated KC or KCMO) is the largest city in Missouri by population and area. What are Neurotoxins, exactly?
Botox
and Dysport are injectable neurotoxins which can temporarily improve wrinkle appearance. What is Sculptra, exactly?
Sculptra uses poly-L lactic acids to slowly restore facial volume. It stimulates the natural production of collagen in your skin by slowly injecting it. Over time, the poly-L lactic acid is biodegraded to create a new meshwork of collagen. The areas that may be treated include the temples, cheeks or nasolabialfolds as well as the jawline. The majority of patients will need three treatments in the first few months, followed by one annual treatment. Results can last more than two years!
What is Kybella exactly?
Kybella can be used to permanently remove fat cells. Depending on the amount and type of fat, one to five Kybella vials might be necessary. Multiple treatment sessions may also be required. The submental fat, otherwise known as a double chin, is the most common area that requires treatment. Once a desired aesthetic goal is achieved, treatments can be stopped.
