This mansion is a sprawling, late 19th-century estate with period furnishings and artwork. By appointment, tours can be taken. History buffs should visit the mansion. You can also attend special events like a black-tie gala.
The Wyeth - Tootle Manor at 11th & Charles sts is a historic home. William M. Wyeth constructed it in 1879. The Gothic design was created by Eckel and Mann Architects. The family's European travels inspired them to create the mansion, which they completed in 1883. The Tootles lived there until 1887 when it was sold.
The mansion is three stories high and has a tower. The house is home to more than 40 rooms. Beautiful woodwork, imported stained glass, and hand-painted ceilings are just a few of the features found in the interior. Visitors can also experience life in the late nineteenth century.
