The Wyeth – Tootle Manor is a historic house located at 11th & Charles sts. William M. Wyeth constructed it in 1879. The Gothic design was created by Eckel and Mann Architects. They gathered ideas from their European travels and built the mansion in 1883. The Tootles lived here until 1887, when the property was sold.
The mansion consists of three floors and a tower. The house is home to more than 40 rooms. Beautiful woodwork, imported stained glass, and hand-painted ceilings are just a few of the features found in the interior. You can experience life in the late 19th-century. He was also the president of St. Joseph Hardware Company which he owned and managed.
