What are HA Fillers and how do they work?

Juvederm is a hyaluronic-acid filler suspended in a gel. Restylane is also known as Restylane. This gel helps the injectable hyaluronic to remain in place. The hyaluronic acid works immediately by pulling in water, therefore, increasing the volume where injected. This is great for moderate to deeper wrinkles and folds of the face or areas where more volume is desired like cheeks or lips. These fillers dissolve naturally with most lasting at least a year. Others may last longer.

About Kansas City

Kansas City (abbreviated KC or KCMO) is the largest city in Missouri by population and area. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 508,090 in 2020,[6] making it the 36th most-populous city in the United States. It is the most populated municipality of the Kansas City metropolitan area, which straddles the KansasMissouri state line and has a population of 2,392,035.[7][2] The city borders Johnson County and Kansas City, Kansas (Wyandotte County) in Kansas. Most of the city lies within Jackson County, with portions spilling into Clay, Cass, and Platte counties. Kansas City was founded in the 1830s as a port on the Missouri River at its confluence with the Kansas River coming in from the west. On June 1, 1850, the town of Kansas was incorporated; shortly after came the establishment of the Kansas Territory. Confusion between the two ensued, and the name Kansas City was assigned to distinguish them soon after.

Sitting on Missouri's western boundary with Kansas, with Downtown near the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers, the city encompasses about 319.03 square miles (826.3 km2), making it the 23rd largest city by total area in the United States. It serves as one of the two county seats of Jackson County, along with the major suburb of Independence. Other major suburbs include the Missouri cities of Blue Springs and Lee's Summit and the Kansas cities of Overland Park, Olathe, Lenexa, and Kansas City, Kansas.

The city is composed of several neighborhoods, including the River Market District in the north, the 18th and Vine District in the east, and the Country Club Plaza in the south. Celebrated cultural traditions include Kansas City jazz; theater, as a center of the Vaudevillian Orpheum circuit in the 1920s; the Chiefs and Royals sports franchises; and famous cuisine based on Kansas City-style barbecue, Kansas City strip steak, and craft breweries.

What are Neurotoxins?

Botox

and Dysport are injectable neurotoxins which can temporarily improve wrinkle appearance. Repetitive muscle contractions can lead to facial lines and wrinkles that get deeper and deeper over time. Botox or Dysport temporarily weakens these muscle contractions, making the skin appear smoother.

Common areas of treatment include forehead, frown lines, crows' feet, and the chin. The results can be seen in a few days, but they will improve over the next two weeks. When dosed appropriately results may last up to four months.

What is Dermaplane exactly?

Dermaplaning uses a medical-grade surgical blade to remove the surface layer of dead skin, debris, and hair. One session of dermaplaning can remove approximately 2-3 weeks worth of dead skin cells and other debris. Dermplane is completely painless and non-invasive. The procedure may seem similar to shaving but is much more efficient as the blade used can get right to the top layer. There's no reason to be concerned about your hair becoming darker. Dermaplaning works on the vellus (peach fuzz), and the hair grows back exactly the same size. It doesn't give the illusion that the hair is thicker because of the way it is cut. There is no downtime with this treatment.

What is a Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel is a treatment where a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers of the dermis. Chemical peels are a great way to improve the skin's texture, radiance, reduce wrinkles, decongest pores, treat acne-prone skin and help with fine lines. Chemical peels are available in three strengths: superficial, medium and deep. Improvement in the skin varies depending on your concerns and which peel is selected to address your needs. For most, multiple treatments are recommended to achieve the best results.
